Wojciech Ejsmond

Dr Wojciech Ejsmond is an archaeologist specialising in ancient Egypt, especially the 4th and 3rd millennia BCE. He graduated from the University of Warsaw and is an assistant professor at the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He is directing an archaeological mission at Gebelein in southern Egypt since 2013, exploring various aspects of the provincial culture, and is co-directing the Warsaw Mummy Project since 2015. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology, Department of Egyptology, Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn in 2024. He is taking part in the Aswan – Kom Omnbo Archaeological Project (https://www.facebook.com/@akapegypt) and excavations at Pień (https://www.facebook.com/pien.badaniaarcheologiczne). Wojciech is frequently published in the most important Egyptological and Archaeological journals, like the Journal of Egyptian Archaeology or Journal of Archaeological Science as well as encyclopedias published by the Oxford University Press and American University in Cairo Press, for the full publication record and other activities click here.
