Working as Forensic Anthropologist and Odontologist for about 20 years, Chantal Milani was cooperating with Italian and International working group both in forensic and historical-archaeological field.
The primary field is the identification of human remains of unidentified bodies, virtual autopsy, facial reconstruction, facial comparison (CCTV) and recognition. Expert witness for many Italian Courts, Prosecutors and Law Enforcement she is also a former officer recruited in the Scientific Investigation Dep. of Italian Carabinieri Army. She was in the DVI (Disaster Victims Identification) team for the identification of the victims of the earthquake that hit the Central Italy on 2016.
In historical-archaeologicald field she cooperated with many research groups studying mummies (CT virtual autopsy) or ancient human remain and performed many facial reconstructions (for example: Dante Alighieri, Raffaello and many Egyptian mummies). As expert in age progression, facial reconstruction and, in general, facial anatomy, she also provided her expertise for facial analysis in important portraits and paintings.
She participated and collaborated with television programs, crimes, scientific and historical documentary.
