Aneta Skalec
Dr Aneta Skalec is a papyrologist, archaeologist, and Roman lawyer. She graduated from the University of Warsaw with degrees in Archaeology and Law and is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, where she leads the Ptolemaic Pathyris Project. Between 2022 and 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC NOTAE Project, funded by an ERC Advanced Grant and led by Professor Antonella Ghignoli at Sapienza University of Rome. During this time, while working on Late Antique papyri, she gained significant experience in digital humanities and database creation.
